Goddard Farrier Services was setup by myself, Jamie Goddard, in 2001.
As a qualified farrier and skilled craftsman I apply a sound knowledge of both the theory and practice of my craft to cater for equestrian clients in Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.
Fully conversant with equine skeletal structure, and in particular bio-mechanical relationships between the anatomical structures of the limb, I am able to shoe all equine feet.
I have a sound knowledge of the pathology of conditions affecting both foot and limb which can cause lameness, and am thoroughly acquainted with the traditional materials and the modern synthetic materials used in creating corrective shoes for faulty gaits.
I am able to consult with veterinery specialists and discuss, in detail, radiographs of the normal lower limb, below and including the knee and hock.
I am now looking to qualify as an Approved Training Farrier (ATF) so that I can take responsibility for teaching and instructing an apprentice in the theoretical and practical aspects of my craft.
